SOUK AL BAHAR
In contrast to The Dubai Mall, Souk Al Bahar, offers a taste of something more traditional and rustic. The Arabesque souk which is located on The Old Town Island, is a vibrant waterside dining, shopping and entertainment experience and a must-see destination for tourists.
Souk Al Bahar (‘market of the sailor') derives its name from both its traditional architecture of natural stone corridors, high archways and subdued lighting and its unique ‘sea-side' location on the Burj Lake.
The cultural theme flows throughout the souk, with boutique shops showcasing Arabian heritage through a mix of authentic handicrafts, fashion and accessories. The souk also features more than 22 restaurants and cafés framing the extensive waterfront.
